What this checker can tell you

The checker compares the website address with addresses in ONJN’s Class I register, checked on 24 September 2026. A match identifies the legal operator, published licence period and decision details, with a link to ONJN.

The four checks to make with ONJN

  1. Read the exact website address in your browser. Extra words or spelling changes create a different address: play.example.ro and example.ro must be checked separately.
  2. Record the legal company name and ONJN licence number from the website. A footer is a claim to check, not independent proof.
  3. Ask ONJN to confirm the relevant remote-casino activity, operating authorisation and relationship to the exact website address. Check dates and any suspension or revocation.
  4. Keep the dated official record or response. Recheck before relying on an old result.

The operator’s site must display specified licensing and authorisation information under the implementing norms, article 128. See how the licence types differ.

Similar addresses are not the same website

casino.example, casino.example.other.example and other-casino.example are different website addresses. The example addresses here are illustrative. A similar name or familiar ending does not make an address the same website.

The checker ignores https://, a leading www. and anything after the first slash. It keeps other parts of the address, so play.example.ro is checked separately from example.ro. It does not visit the website you enter.

When the evidence is missing

Pause the decision and use the ONJN Class I register and ONJN’s main website to locate the appropriate record. The equipment register covers physical gaming equipment and cannot complete an online casino website check. If the official site is unavailable, wait or obtain a regulator response; a third-party list is not a substitute.
